Madelyn attended a Big Sister class at St. Vincents on Saturday. She had so much fun and like anywhere else we go she made a new friend named Rachael who is the same age and is also having a baby brother in April. The nurse talked to the kids about how they can help out when the baby gets here and taught them some important rules also. They got to practice holding the babies and they also got to tour the birth suites so they could see where we be would when it is time for the baby to arrive. The nurse showed them how to push the button to call the nurse when you are in the room, but also told them that they are not allowed to push it unless their Mommy says it is ok. As soon as we left, that was the first thing Madelyn asked, "Mommy, when you need the nurse, can I push the red button?" She is so excited and can't wait for her baby brother to get here. She is already coloring pictures to give him in the hospital.
